BelAZ is a Belarusian manufacturer of transportation and earthmoving equipment, and one of the world's largest specialized manufacturers of mining trucks, including mining dump trucks, loaders, heavy transport platforms, bulk transport trailers, aircraft towing equipment, and wheeled bulldozers.

In 1946, a resolution to establish a peat equipment plant was passed, construction began in 1948, and production commenced in 1950. In 1951, the plant was reorganized to produce road construction and land reclamation equipment under the name "Dormash," and renamed "BELAZ" in 1958. That same year, its first truck rolled off the assembly line.

For decades, BelAZ was a flagship company in the Soviet Union and Belarus, supplying over 120,000 units to the former Soviet Union and other countries worldwide.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, to adapt to the changing economic environment, the company expanded its product line, introducing road construction and metallurgical products, all of which were researched and developed in-house.

The first 25-ton dump truck, the MAZ-525, rolled off the production

line in 1958. The first 40-ton dump truck prototype, the MAZ-530, was assembled in

1960. The first 27-ton mining and quarrying truck was produced in 1961. The

280-ton 7550 mining truck was launched in 1990.

    The 320-ton 7560 was launched in 2005.
